Extreme HD Parts develops and supplies premium quality heavy-duty trailer brake components for the commercial transportation industry. The Extreme Cam was born from hands-on experience in the field, watching s-cams and bushings wear out far too fast and cost fleets time and money. We set out to build something better: a high-performance fully-enclosed cam tube system that protects the s-cam from contaminants and corrosion. Independently owned, we’ve built our business on a customer-centric approach, supporting the distributors who carry our products and the fleets who run them every day.
Every Extreme Cam kit is made in the USA, starting with domestic steel and precision manufacturing processes. Quality and reliability come first in everything we build, from all-metal bushings with deep grease groove channels to easy bolt-on installation with no welding required. The result: up to five times the life of standard s-cams and bushings. WHY EXTREME CAMS?
The Extreme Cam converts your s-cam into a long journal bearing. By distributing loads over a larger surface area, wear from vibration and torsional loads is greatly reduced, maintaining proper brake performance and saving you money.
The sealed protective tube keeps contaminants out and grease in. Grease fittings and channels allow the tube to fill with grease without overcharging or hydro-locking, so your s-cam stays lubricated mile after mile.
HOW ARE EXTREME CAMS SUPERIOR?
We manufacture Extreme Cam kits in the USA. It all starts with using American-made steel and precision manufacturing processes. We use a ISO 9000 inspired quality management system to ensure we are delivering bushings with the tightest tolerances in the industry. Our bushings are made with a proprietary combination of materials and production processes that we guarantee will outperform the competition. Our Extreme Cam tubes are built with .125″ wall DOM steel tubing that is measurably stronger than the 16-gauge material used by our competitors. We also have aggressive procedures to fight corrosion from the start. First, we powder coat every Extreme Cam enclosure tube. Next, we use anti-corrosion oil infused bushings with 5 large grease channels to ensure your s-cam stays lubricated. Then we install our specially designed double lip seals to keep contaminants from infiltrating your cam tubes. Finally, we install a pressure relief valve that lets excess grease out without compromising the integrity of the seals.

Increase S-CAM Bushing Life
Extreme Cam converts your s-cam into a long journal bearing. By distributing loads over a larger surface area, wear from vibration and torsional loads is greatly reduced. Extreme Cam shafts utilize a machined surface over the entire length. The Extreme Cam tube is sealed on both ends and includes both a grease zerk as well as a grease relief valve.
